  1. Fill your calabash 3/4 of the way with herbs (also make according to your preferences), dig a sort of well on the side, and insert the bombilla (metal straw) into it.
  2. In this well that you just dug, gently pour hot water, but not boiling! Boiling water would "burn" the herbs, causing them to lose their properties and taste much faster.
