Mate : the national drink in Argentina.

Traditionally consumed in a calabash and drunk with a bombilla (metal straw), this drink helps fight against fatigue and promotes concentration. 4. Fill the calabash with maté herbs 3/4 (or according to your preferences), dig a kind of well on the side and insert the bombilla (metal straw).

5. In this well that you have just dug, gently pour hot water, but not boiling! Boiling water "burns" the herbs, causing them to lose their properties and taste much more quickly.
