Tapenade is an olive puree of Provençal origin. It is made from olives (green or black) crushed and mixed with olive oil and, depending on the recipes, with other ingredients. Olives are known for their beneficial actions on the cardiovascular and digestive levels as well as for their antioxidant properties. It is also an excellent source of minerals, magnesium that promotes energy production and helps to manage stress. In addition, tapenade contains a lot of potassium which helps to fight high blood pressure, promote the transmission of nerve information and muscle contraction.
