Artichoke Tapenade Organic

What proportion of artichoke is in this tapenade?

83% of the recipe. The rest is made up of sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, salt, onions, wine vinegar, garlic, lemon juice and oregano. Every agricultural ingredient in the Kazidomi tapenade comes from organic farming, and the jar weighs 100 g.

How do I use artichoke tapenade?

Spread on fresh bread or on toast, it is served just as it is before a meal. It works in cooking too: stirred through hot pasta, as the base of a savoury tart, as a sandwich filling, or to lift a roast vegetable. The Kazidomi jar covers a drinks table for several guests.

Artichoke or black olive tapenade: which to take?

The artichoke gives a pale, mild, creamy spread, lightly salted, which suits palates sensitive to bitterness. The Kazidomi black olive tapenade is darker, more direct and saltier. For a varied board the two complement each other, with the sun-dried tomato tapenade as a third register.

How long does it keep once opened?

The Kazidomi jar keeps at room temperature as long as it stays sealed. Once started it goes into the fridge and wants eating within ten days. Closing it carefully and smoothing the surface limits contact with the air. Taking the jar out a while before serving loosens the texture.

Does the tapenade contain anything of animal origin?

The ingredient list of the Kazidomi tapenade holds none: artichokes, vegetable oils, salt, onions, wine vinegar, garlic, lemon juice and oregano. The label does mention possible traces of milk, walnut, lupin and soya, linked to the Italian workshop where it is made.
