Kombucha Ginger Lemongrass Organic

Is there really chilli in this kombucha?

Yes, as a natural flavouring, alongside natural ginger and lemongrass flavourings. It leaves a discreet warmth at the finish rather than any real heat. Kazidomi builds the drink on a base of green and black tea fermented by kombucha cultures, with filtered sparkling water.

Ginger and lemongrass or apple and elderflower?

Both are made in Belgium for Kazidomi in the 250 ml format. The ginger and lemongrass plays on the sharp and the spiced, with that trace of chilli at the end. The apple and elderflower is noticeably gentler, floral and fruity, thanks to apple juice and elderflower extract.

How is this kombucha made?

A green and black tea is fermented by kombucha cultures, then blended with filtered sparkling water and a little unrefined sugar before the natural flavourings go in. Production takes place in Belgium and the agricultural ingredients Kazidomi has chosen come from organic farming.

How many days can I keep it once opened?

Three days in the fridge, as Kazidomi states. What disappears first is the sparkle, ahead of the ginger and lemongrass aromas. As long as the 250 ml bottle stays sealed, it lives at room temperature, somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sun.

When in the day should I drink it?

Very cold, as an afternoon break, with drinks before a meal, or alongside something light: that is the use Kazidomi puts forward for this single-serve format. Its spiced side goes well with strongly seasoned food, Asian cooking for instance. Served insufficiently cold, the ginger stands out more.
