The hazelnut kernels used to make our roasted hazelnut oil come mainly from Turkey, a country that accounts for the largest share of world hazelnut production. Unlike our virgin hazelnut oil, hazelnuts are roasted before being cold pressed. This toasting process enhances the praline aroma of the oil. The roasted version of hazelnut oil therefore has a much more intense flavour than its virgin "equivalent". It is ideal for refining pastries, desserts and pancakes. When cooking, simply replace some of the fat in the recipe with this treasure to give your dishes a wonderful flavour and a special taste.
