This cane sugar molasses, has a high mineral content and a characteristic, slightly salty flavour . Ideal in pancakes and in stews. This sugar used be sold as low quality sugar. It is also used in deserts and in creating rum.... It contains less calories than sucrose, vitamin B and minerals (calcium, potassium, iron, copper...); things you will never find in white sugar. Molasses (like legumes, fruit and cereals) helps to prevent anaemia.
