Chocolate Protein Bars (14 g protein/bar) Organic

Chocolate bar or peanut butter bar: what's the difference?

The Pulse Protein chocolate bar is built on protein dark chocolate, hazelnut paste, cocoa mass and Bourbon vanilla extract: a bold cocoa profile. The peanut butter version contains peanut butter and a natural caramel flavouring, rounder in the mouth. Both weigh 50 g and provide around 14 g of protein each.

When should you eat a chocolate protein bar?

As an afternoon snack, dessert or at breakfast, before or after a workout. The Pulse Protein chocolate bar is eaten as it is, no preparation needed. It weighs 50 g and provides 13.8 g of rice and pea protein. One bar is enough for a snack: it does not replace a full meal.

Does this bar contain gluten or nuts?

It contains nuts: hazelnut paste. Pulse Protein does not present it as gluten-free, so people with coeliac disease should check the label. The ingredients are organic, sweetened with coconut sugar, tapioca syrup and agave inulin, with no palm oil.

Why does the coating sometimes turn white?

A white film on dark chocolate is fat bloom: the cocoa butter rises after a change in temperature. It affects neither the taste nor the quality of the Pulse Protein chocolate bar. To avoid it, keep the bar in a cool, dry place, away from windows and radiators.

What are the protein crisps in the recipe?

Crunchy protein pieces (faba bean flour, pea protein isolate, rice starch) that give the Pulse Protein chocolate bar its crunch. They contrast with the dense filling and the hazelnut paste. That is why the first bite crackles, with no sugary puffed cereal or extra coating.
