An alcohol vinegar with 12% acidity, made from beet. Its strength, higher than the 8% of a standard household vinegar, makes it a limescale remover for taps, showers and sanitary ware, and a degreaser for the oven, the extractor hood or burnt pans. It descales kettles and coffee machines, replaces fabric conditioner in the washing machine, works as a rinse aid and leaves floors shining. 1 L bottle, for household cleaning only.

Undiluted for descaling: pour it into the kettle or into the coffee machine tank, leave it to act, then rinse thoroughly. Diluted by half with water in a spray bottle, for taps, tiles, windows and washable surfaces. On a greasy oven or hood, combine it with bicarbonate of soda and let it work before scrubbing. In the washing machine, a glassful in the softener compartment does the work of a fabric conditioner; in the dishwasher, it acts as a rinse aid. Test on an inconspicuous area before treating a delicate surface.

What is a 12% alcohol vinegar for?

For cleaning the home: descaling taps, the shower, the toilet, the kettle and the coffee machine, degreasing the oven, the extractor hood and the hob. Kazidomi sells it in a 1 L bottle. It is more acidic than a table vinegar and strictly reserved for household use.

Household 12% vinegar or food vinegar?

The acidity level, and the use. The Kazidomi one is 12% and carries a household-use-only mention: it is not intended to be eaten. A table vinegar, cider or balsamic, is far less acidic and belongs on the plate. The two are never substituted for one another.

Does it need diluting?

For stubborn limescale it is used neat, left to act and then rinsed with clean water. For everyday cleaning of floors, windows or surfaces, diluting in hot water is enough. Kazidomi advises testing on an out-of-the-way patch first: the acid attacks marble, natural stone and some grouting.

Can it be mixed with another product?

No. The Kazidomi label says so plainly: do not bring it into contact with bleach or with any other cleaning product. The vinegar is used on its own, on a clean surface, then rinsed off. Keep it away from heat and damp, and out of reach of children.

Where does this household vinegar come from?

It is made in France from French beet, whose alcohol is transformed by fermentation. Its composition runs to a single line: alcohol vinegar at 12% acidity. The 1 L Kazidomi bottle belongs with the cleaning products, never in the condiment cupboard, so that no confusion is possible.
