Soda Crystals

What are soda crystals used for?

For degreasing and shifting ingrained dirt: floors, worktops, extractor hoods, oven shelves, bins or heavily soiled laundry. Kazidomi soda crystals are pure sodium carbonate, to be dissolved in hot water. Wear gloves when using them, as the solution is irritating to skin and eyes.

How much should I use?

One to two tablespoons of Kazidomi crystals per litre of hot water for everyday cleaning, more on a very greasy surface. Hot water speeds up dissolving considerably. Test on an area that barely shows before treating a whole surface, as the packaging indicates.

Soda crystals or liquid black soap — which should I use?

Kazidomi crystals are an alkaline powder to dilute, effective on baked-on grease and clogged drains. The liquid black soap in the range is also a concentrate to dilute, but suited to floors, wood and everyday surfaces. Crystals strip; black soap maintains day to day.

Which surfaces should I keep them off?

Aluminium, waxed or varnished wood, fragile paintwork and delicate fabrics such as wool and silk. Kazidomi advises testing first on an area that barely shows. Soda crystals should also never be mixed with an acidic product, which would cancel out their degreasing action.

How should I store them?

Only in their original packaging, closed, away from heat and damp: sodium carbonate takes up water from the air and sets into compact blocks. The 1 kg Kazidomi pack goes out of reach of children, like any cleaning product, and well away from food.
