Blueberry Jam 100% Fruit Organic

How much blueberry is in this jar?

Half the total weight. The Kazidomi blueberry jam completes that base with concentrated grape juice as the sweetener and fruit pectin for consistency. The 310 g jar is made in France, and the gentle cook keeps a very dark purple colour and a clean taste of the fruit.

Blueberry or four red fruits — which should I take?

The Kazidomi blueberry is single-fruit: a dark, sweet taste, little acidity, an almost smooth texture from one slice of toast to the next. The four red fruits jam blends cherry, strawberry, redcurrant and raspberry, with seeds and considerably more acidity. Blueberry suits anyone after a mild, even flavour.

Why does it stain so much?

Blueberry pigments colour fabric, fingers and worktops strongly: that is a property of the fruit, not a colouring added by Kazidomi. The list stops at blueberry, concentrated grape juice and fruit pectin. Rinsing straight away in cold water keeps the mark down.

What does it go with?

Wholemeal or seeded bread, a fresh cheese, plain yoghurt, a brioche, or a pastry case spread with almond cream. The Kazidomi blueberry jam also sits well on a board of hard cheeses, and warms through into a sauce for pancakes or a weekend milk pudding.

How long does the blueberry jar last once opened?

Three to four weeks in the fridge, jar firmly closed. The Kazidomi recipe contains no added cane sugar, which in a conventional jam also acts to keep it, so it will not hold at room temperature once started. A little syrup risen to the surface simply stirs back in.
