Your favourite vegan festival is coming to Brussels.

Veggieworld is the first international fair dedicated to the vegan lifestyle. The festival started with 21 exhibitors in Germany over 7 years ago. Today, they spread the vegan message in 8 cities around Europe and especially in Paris, where the popularity of veganism attracted over 7000 visitors. A success that is growing thanks to a growing acceptance of this lifestyle in our society.

This year in Brussels, you get to discover tons of cruelty free products and delicious vegan food with more than 130 exhibitors, get inspired at cooking workshops and learn more about nutrition, cosmetics, wellness, decoration and fashion from some amazing speakers. For those looking to adopt a vegan lifestyle or eat more plant based, the festival is the place to be for a good time and to connect with like-minded people.

Veganism is growing

Veganism is attracting more and more followers. People are more conscience about where their food comes from and its impact on animals and the environment. Efforts are made to diminish the consumption of meat, fish or dairy. Thanks to these initiatives, the market is changing.  The food industry offers more and more plant-based alternatives to those who want to take better care of the planet and all its inhabitants and the cosmetics business attaches more importance to producing ethical products that are organic, natural and not tested on animals.

Vegan World Day?

Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. Vegans exclude meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey and any other product containing ingredients derived from animals, from their diet. They also avoid wearing leather, wool, silk and fur and don’t use cosmetics or medication that is tested on animals or contains animal substances.

World Vegan Day raises awareness and celebrates this lifestyle every year on the 1st of November. The event was established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, then Chair of The Vegan Society.
