Pecan Nuts in bulk DDM 24/11/2026 Organic

Pecans or ordinary walnuts: what is the difference?

The pecan is longer, smoother and far milder: it has none of the bitterness the common walnut's skin leaves behind, and the texture is softer under the tooth. That is why the Kazidomi Vrac pecan sits as well in desserts as in salads, with no need to sweeten it.

What is in this bag?

A single ingredient: 100% organic pecans, shelled, with no added salt, no sugar and no coating fat. Kazidomi Vrac offers them in a 250 g bag, sold loose by weight. The kernels come whole or in halves depending on how the harvest has graded out.

What recipes are they for?

A brownie, a tart, a homemade granola, a loaf cake or a fruit bread, and equally a salad with blue cheese and pears. Kazidomi Vrac pecans caramelise nicely in a pan with a little syrup, which gives a crunchy topping to spoon over a dessert.

Where do they come from?

Mexico, where the pecan tree has long been grown, through an organic chain. The nuts reach Kazidomi Vrac already shelled and ready to use, with no further treatment. Their colour runs from pale beige to reddish brown from one harvest to the next, and that is the nut, not a storage fault.

How do I keep them?

It is the fattiest of the common nuts, so the quickest to turn rancid: keep the Kazidomi Vrac bag well closed, cool, dry and out of the light. For a supply that has been open a while, the fridge or the freezer slows the taste changing without harming the texture.
