Where does the lavender in this bottle come from?

The flowering tops are harvested in Bulgaria and the oil is then bottled in France for Kazidomi. The species is Lavandula angustifolia, the one called true lavender, whose chemotype pairs linalyl acetate with linalool. The 10 ml bottle holds that oil alone, from organic farming, with nothing added.

Lavender or peppermint: which oil should I take?

Two opposite registers. The Kazidomi lavender is distilled from flowering tops grown in Bulgaria and smells floral and herbaceous. Peppermint comes from leaves grown in India and leads with menthol and menthone, sharp and cooling from the moment the cap comes off. One settles a room, the other wakes it.

How is lavender essential oil used?

By mouth it goes in diluted only, in a spoonful of honey or vegetable oil, or on a sugar lump, at the amount printed on the Kazidomi pack. On the skin, test it first in the crease of the elbow. This is a food supplement and does not stand in for a varied diet.
