Granola Nature Organic

What goes into this plain granola?

Oat flakes at 71%, cane sugar, sunflower oil, rice syrup, rice crisps made of rice, barley malt and sea salt, then coconut and a little more sea salt. Kazidomi Granola Nature is made in France from organically grown ingredients, and the pack holds 1000 g.

Plain granola or chocolate granola: which one should I take?

The base is close, but Kazidomi Granola Chocolat adds dark chocolate chips at 70% cocoa minimum and strips of coconut. The plain stays sober: cereal, coconut and a note of rice syrup. That suits a bowl you dress yourself, where the fresh fruit is meant to be the loud part.

How do I eat it?

With milk or a plant drink, stirred through yoghurt, or scattered over fresh fruit, at breakfast or later in the day. Kazidomi Granola Nature is equally good eaten dry by the handful, or used as a crunchy topping on stewed fruit and fruit salad, added just before it reaches the table.

Does it suit a gluten-free diet?

No. The recipe is built on oat flakes and carries barley malt inside the rice crisps, two ingredients that rule it out. Kazidomi Granola Nature is therefore not one for coeliacs. The full ingredient list printed on the pack stays the thing to read before you buy.

How do I keep the granola crunchy?

Fold the 1000 g pack shut properly after each use, or tip it into an airtight jar kept somewhere dry. Kazidomi granola picks up moisture from the air and loses its bite within days in a badly closed container. A short spell in a low oven brings the crunch back.
