Nigari salt is a natural concentrate of magnesium chloride of marine origin, not purified. Magnesium contributes to normal psychological functions and reduces fatigue. Prior to the uplift of the land, this region was home to an ocean from which mineral-laden brackish water remains today. These waters are dehydrated in salt lakes to produce naturally concentrated magnesium chloride crystals, without chemical treatment or additives. The product is then processed in Japan: dissolving, cleaning and crystallizing until the famous crystals are obtained.
