Nigari Salt

INTENDED USE: As a coagulant for making tofu. By using nigari, the tofu has a softer appearance and a sweeter flavor. The tofu thus produced can be eaten as is or used in miso soup, sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot), in salads and can also be used for frying. Can also be used in magnesium water (see preparation) As a poultice in case of wounds or burns (and even to dilute the clay to be applied as a poultice on varicose ulcers). METHOD OF PREPARATION As a magnesium cure, on the advice and supervision of your doctor or naturopath: Dilute 20 g of powder in 1 liter of water and shake until completely dissolved. The resulting solution can be stored in the refrigerator. The taste being very bitter, some prefer to mix it with lemon juice or dilute it further before swallowing it. Magnesium chloride has a laxative effect, start gradually. A glass of this drink covers 60% RDA in magnesium.
