About this product
- 100% natural filter
- Water purifier
- PEFC certified wood
Activated charcoal is a zero-waste alternative for filtering your water. In Japanese culture, activated charcoal has been used for centuries to purify water and air.
Thanks to its porous surface, it captures certain toxins, heavy metals and other polluting residues contained in water.
With its softening properties, it also improves the taste and smell of water, balances its pH and reduces chlorine and limescale.
Your water is naturally decontaminated, softer and more pleasant tasting.
Its rectangular size is compact and slim to fit easily in your carafe or flask. Obtained through a new patented manufacturing process,
Its effectiveness can last up to 3 months! No need to clean or remove it, just change your water and it's done.
The wood used is sourced from protected French forests, certified and from short circuits
This filter is 100% natural, vegetable and entirely biodegradable.

Instructions
NB: The charcoal floats the first few times to fall to the bottom of the container when its pores are waterlogged.
Indeed, the carbonization at very high temperature empties the pores of the wood of all its accumulated substances.
The wood thus becomes very light and extremely porous (hence its action of adsorption of toxic particles in the air and in the water).
When its pores are filled with water, the charcoal will naturally sink to the bottom of the carafe. This may take some time. The quality is absolutely not in question.
Usage:
One stick will filter 1L of water. For larger volumes, you can use the number of sticks corresponding to your container.
Boil the stick in a pan of water for 10 minutes and then let it dry in the open air.
Immerse the stick in 1L of drinking water.
Let filter for a minimum of 4 hours and up to 10 hours for maximum efficiency.
The water is ready to be consumed.
Repeat these steps every 1 to 3 months (depending on the quality of your water) to reactivate your carbon. After 6 months, the charcoal can be composted or recycled as a plant fertilizer or deodorizer.
If your charcoal cracks or breaks, you can continue to use it as normal, this does not alter its properties.
It may happen that some charcoal particles are deposited in the water when first used. These are not dangerous for your health and can be ingested. Indeed, activated carbon is a real ally for digestion.
