Cardamom Powder Organic

With its camphorated and penetrating smell and its peppery, bitter and astringent taste, cardamom is considered a noble spice along with saffron and vanilla. Cardamom grows wild in the humid forests of southern India and Sri Lanka between 750m and 1500m above sea level. It goes well with the flavour of salty and sweet dishes.

Since 1990, Cook spices and herbs have been produced from certified organic farming. If at first the Cook spices came from Madagascar, Cook will now also look for them in India, Turkey, Egypt... Cooked herbs come as much as possible from France or Europe. From the beginning, Cook has worked to improve the working conditions of producers in these distant countries. By going on the spot to check, first, and then by paying the right price. Since 2002, they have made this commitment a reality through the Bio Équitable logo, controlled by Ecocert. At the beginning of this range of spices, Cook packaged them in glass vials. Since 2001, for social, ecological and economic reasons, they have been offering them today in P.E.T. bottles.
