These grilled barbecue tofu wings are a delicious and flavorful alternative to traditional chicken wings. Perfectly seasoned and grilled, they offer a crunchy exterior and a tender interior, making them a vegetarian dish that will delight all food lovers, even those who don't follow a vegan diet.
Ingredients
- 450g firm tofu (1 block)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, pepper
- Light Greek yogurt
- Fresh parsley (or cilantro of your choice)
- 1 lemon
- 1 garlic clove
- Honey
- Barbecue sauce
Recipe
- Using your hands, break the tofu into bite-sized pieces.
- Drizzle olive oil and mix well to coat the tofu. Generously season with pepper and add a pinch of salt.
- Grill on the barbecue (or bake in the oven at 200°C) for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Meanwhile, finely chop the parsley and garlic. Place them in a medium bowl and add the Greek yogurt.
- Squeeze the lemon to get 15 ml (1 tbsp) of juice and add it to the bowl. Add honey and mix well.
- Transfer the tofu to a large bowl. Add the barbecue sauce and toss to coat the tofu evenly. Return the tofu to the grill (or oven) and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
