Kazidomi nutritional yeast flakes are an inactive yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) dried into fine flakes. Their lightly toasted cheesy taste makes them the perfect vegan alternative to grated parmesan.

Sprinkle them over pasta, salads, soups or roasted vegetables, or stir them into a cheese-style sauce. They provide 47 g of protein and 20 g of fibre per 100 g, plus vitamin B12, B vitamins and zinc.

125 g box, produced in Estonia.

What is nutritional yeast?

It is a yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) that is grown, deactivated by heat and dried into flakes. It does not make dough rise: it is used as a seasoning, for its cheesy taste and its nutrients.

What does it taste like?

A mature, slightly toasted, umami cheese flavour. Sprinkled on pasta or vegetables, it is a great vegan alternative to grated parmesan.

What does it contain nutritionally?

Per 100 g: 47 g of protein, 20 g of fibre, 5 g of fat and only 1 g of sugars. It is fortified with B vitamins (including B12) and zinc. A 5 to 10 g serving is enough to season a dish.
