Ingredients

  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1L water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 slices of ginger
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 crushed cardamom pods
  • orange wedges
  • 1/4 teaspoon anise seeds

Recipe

  1. In a large bowl, place the tea bags, pour in the boiling water, and let steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, anise seeds, and cold water. Bring everything to a boil.
  4. Reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for another 5 minutes, then add the tea and let everything cool.
  5. Chill the preparation in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  6. Strain the tea (discard the spices).
  7. Serve in tall glasses filled with ice and garnish with orange wedges.
