Created on a self-sufficient organic farm in the Netherlands and inspired by the macrobiotic kitchen, this tempeh is ready to use in a variety of vegan or vegetarian meals. It can be fried in a pan until crunchy, and served with a splash of brewed soy sauce*. Tempeh is also great in stir fries, curries, stews, etc. since it will absorb some of the flavors of the sauces and spices you are using.

* Tip: Avoid the cheap sauces that use caramel to darken them, they are mostly colored salty water and can burn in the pan leaving a bitter flavor. A traditionally brewed soy sauce will cost you a better result with deep warm savory flavors.

Ayant l'habitude du tempeh frais j'ai été surprise par la texture de celui-ci.
Il est plus mou et il y a comme un film de peau qui entoure chaque morceau. Bien qu'intéressée par le fait de disposer de Tempeh non frais je ne rachèterai pas. A voir pour celles et ceux qui ne disposent pas de frais !

Je suis habituée à manger du tempeh du rayon frais, assez dense et ferme et ici la texture est assez déroutante, très spongieuse, même après l'avoir égoutté et poêler, dommage. Cela dit le gout est bon.
