Organic tempeh in jar by Yakso. Created on a self-sufficient organic farm in the Netherlands and inspired by the macrobiotic kitchen, this tempeh is ready to use in a variety of vegan or vegetarian meals. It can be fried in a pan until crunchy, and served with a splash of brewed soy sauce*. Tempeh is also great in stir fries, curries, stews, etc. since it will absorb some of the flavors of the sauces and spices you are using.
* Tip: Avoid the cheap sauces that use caramel to darken them, they are mostly colored salty water and can burn in the pan leaving a bitter flavor. A traditionally brewed soy sauce will cost you a better result with deep warm savory flavors.
