Let's talk about the famous cashew nuts that come from tropical America. This nut develops at the end of the cashew apple, the false fruit of the cashew tree. Cashews are only edible after a laborious process, as the fruit must be picked, dried, roasted, shelled and finally roasted. After all these steps, the cashew nuts arrive at our partner producer to be crushed and transformed into a delicious homogenous paste.
A particularity of the cashew nut is its relatively low fat content (on average 50%) compared to almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans. This explains why cashew nut butter is topped with a thinner layer of natural oil than other oilseed pastes. This cashew butter is rich in carbohydrates (30.1%) and has only 7.8% saturated fatty acids. Snacking on a few cashew nuts also gives you a good dose of vitamins B1, B6 and K!
In the form of a puree, our roasted cashew nuts puree is your ally to make white cheese, to accompany your raw vegetables as an aperitif, but also to create various more elaborate dressings to surprise your guests!
